Dave Arthur, CFP, has spent nearly 30 years helping clients develop and implement their financial strategies.  Together with three other financial professionals, Dave founded Investors Financial Advisors in 1997.  He was previously a financial advisor with IDS and its successor organization, American Express Financial Services, where he also served as District Manager for fourteen years.  

Earlier in his career, he owned and operated retail businesses in Coleman Falls, Glasgow and Big Island, Virginia.  He also taught History and coached basketball and baseball in the Patrick County and Bedford County School Systems. 

He is a member of the Roanoke Better Business Bureau.  He has served on the Board of the Cave Spring United Methodist Church and has held leadership positions with the Airport Breakfast Lions Club.  Over the years, he has coached numerous Cave Spring recreational and AAU sports teams.

 Dave earned a B.A. in History and Physical Education at Lynchburg College and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional .  He and his wife Mollie have raised three sons and enjoy life in Roanoke, Virginia.
