Hal Reynolds, CFP has been a financial advisor for over 27 years, starting his career with IDS and its successor organization, American Express Financial Advisors where he achieved status as a Field Input Team member.  He became part of Investors Financial Advisors in 1998.  Before his involvement in personal financial services, he enjoyed a career as a professional musician for nine years.  Highlights included performing for Elvis’ touring entourage in 1976 and receiving repeated offers to perform on the Tonight Show and the fledgling Merv Griffin Show.

Over the years as a financial advisor, Hal has been active as a Retirement Planning Seminar Speaker to several Fortune 500 Companies, the Virginia Retirement System and several professional organizations. 

Hal earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 1993 and holds a B.S in finance from Virginia Tech.  He has twin daughters and lives with his wife, Karen, in RoanokeVa.  He enjoys family life, writing and recording music, travel and tennis.
